Athletics Reflection

Yesterday we had our School Athletics Day. We got some questions sent from our teachers. They were for us to reflect on. This is my reflection.

    • What was the most enjoyable part of athletics for you? The most enjoyable part was long jump because it felt really good flying in the air and in the end knowing you've done well because you have practiced hard for the last 4 weeks.
    • What are you really proud of? I am really proud of coming 2nd in long jump and 3rd in high jump because I've never had a place before.
    • What was the most challenging part? Probably the shot put because it is really easy to throw the ball instead of pushing the ball.
    • Where to now? What are your goals for next time? Why do you want to focus on this? Next time to come more places for different activity's and beat Abby I for long jump.

This Term for maths we have been making surveys to collect useful information. Why we are really doing this is after we have got this information, we are going to make it into some sort of graph. Me and Charlotte P made a survey together, the topic was: What makes a courageous learner? We had a fair idea of what it meant but we wanted other peoples opinions to see if that might actually change how we think of it. This is the slide we did our survey on.

ET Reo

For ET Reo we have been Maori Phrases for Market day. We had a task to make it into some sort of movie to show and say the phrases. I worked with Telaina and we made a movie together on imovie. Here is our brilliant movie!

Bookapedia term 4

This term we have continued Bookapedia book buddies. My buddy is Harriet. This term we had a selection of books that we could choose to read. So far, I have read Hana's suitcase ( A real epic story that I loved ) and Eighty Dollar Champion ( which is about a horse ). My goals were...

-help others to understand my opinion by including evidence
  and examples
- building on someone else’s idea by starting with “I
- making generalisations such as “All...” “Most…” “Some..”  “No/Never…”

The slide below has the rest of the information.

PrEP-Market Day

Around the end of last term and this term, we have been doing PrEP. PrEP for market day. This is what it is about.

We got into groups of 3. In my group we have me, Abby and Telaina  Once we got into our groups, we had to think of something to make and then to sell on market day. First we had this idea of making a lucky dip and making cupcakes. Pretty dull and boring huh? We got to choose our PrEP coach. We chose Troy as our prep coach. After a little amount of time Troy thought that cupcakes and lucky dip wasn't top notch. So we searched for ideas on the internet then we found this creative and amazing idea on Pinterest that made our eyes glow. We loved the idea and we thought it was really creative and way better than cupcakes and a lucky dip. We watched the video on how to make it. Hmm. Pretty complicated. But we tried. What is a prototype for? To try it out and see if it worked! It amazingly worked amazingly, quite complicated but now we have the skill to make them. Here's the product.
We got given a slide to fill in the information like the budget and the product and other things. Here is the slide.
